Dhamaal is a 2009 Indian comedy film directed and produced by Indra Kumar and co-produced by Dileep Rao. It stars Govinda, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Ritesh Deshmukh. It is the remake of the 1981 Hindi movie Leader starring Shatrughan Sinha. The trio get help from Babu Bhaiya's friend, Fattu (Shreyas Talpade), who contacts his friend, Bunty(Govinda). Abrar later joins with them in a plan to kidnap Sheetal's father, Indraneel Malhotra(Kamal Haasan). However, Abrar fails when they kidnap the wrong person. They succeed in kidnapping Indraneel when he is drunk. When Sheetal's brother, Anand(Ronit Roy), who is a Police Officer comes to know about this, he accuses Babu Bhaiya of being behind the kidnapping. However, Rajuv is actually responsible for this and tries to prove Babu Bhaiya innocent by nabbing the culprits including Abrar. Meanwhile, Daboo Malik proposes that he will get Ria married to Abrar if her father becomes minister. However, Ria's father is not impressed by Abrar and his reputation. Rajuv suggests to Babu Bhaiya that he should get Abrar married to a girl of his choice so that he will look better in the eyes of the public and get the contract. Babu Bhaiya, however, does not agree for this plan because he wants Abrar to marry Ria.
